Would you like a guided tour through your Psalm 119 Experience?
If so, you’ll enjoy The Psalm 119 Podcast. In each episode, I’ll focus on different sections of Psalm 119, featuring some of the key themes as well as parts of the songs in The Psalm 119 Experience Music.
As soon as you listen to an episode, you’ll know that this is not a typical podcast. My goal is to help you begin your own Psalm 119 Experience.
That’s the beauty of focusing together on Psalm 119, the longest and one of the most intriguing chapters of the Bible — you will have your own experience with God’s Word. I’ll tell you about some of my discoveries to encourage you. But in the end, your experience will differ from mine because God will speak to you through His Word.
The Power of Podcasts
I hope you’ve discovered how easy it is to “redeem the time,” as the Bible says, through listening to podcasts. Never before has so much great material been available online at no cost though podcasting.
As part of my work as a consultant, I travel often for long stretches. While I don’t love to travel, I love to learn. Because of great podcasts, every road trip and plane ride becomes an opportunity for me to stretch my mind and heart through outstanding podcasts.
Once you dig into the wonderful world of podcasts, you’ll discover that the quality varies widely. I make no claim to be an expert podcaster. I’m know I’m not. But I have worked hard to learn this new skill and hope that my efforts help you.
Part of what I love about podcasting is that it is a very personal form of media. When I’m listening to a great podcast, I’m engaging with the person who produced that podcast. Over time, I feel like I know the hosts of my favorite podcasts. It would thrill me if The Psalm 119 Experience Podcast could encourage you in the same way other podcasts have encouraged me.
Content That Is Always Current
One of the downsides of some podcasts is that the content grows stale. Fortunately, I don’t face that problem with the core content of The Psalm 119 Experience Podcast. I’m focusing on God’s Word beginning with one chapter in the Bible.
As you’ll discover, the majority of words spoken in each podcast will be God’s Word, not my words. Whether through reading sections of Psalm 119 or playing some of the Psalm 119 songs based on sections of the Psalm, the primary focus of this podcast will be God’s Word and therefore timeless.
Your Sequence and Your Pace
Psalm 119 is written in 22 sections and each of the 22 sections can stand alone.
That means you can pick up with any of the podcasts and gain strength from the focus in one part of the psalm. I do believe, however, that there is great benefit in working through Psalm 119 in order, but in the end, it’s completely up to you.
I’m simply here as a guide and a host. This is YOUR Psalm 119 Experience, not mine.
I’ve had mine.
That’s why I want you to have yours.
